How MAC works
MAC stands for Monthly Active Client. It is the only variable in your bill. Here is exactly how it works.
What counts as active
A client is counted as active in a given calendar month if any one of these happens:
A session is on the schedule
They are billed for a session
They login to SessionUp
One activity in the month. That's it. A single trigger moves them into the active column for that month only.
What never counts
Clients on your roster who did nothing that month
Former clients you keep on file for records
Prospects in your pipeline
Leads from your website or forms
Trial users who never booked a session
Archived accounts
Guardians or Staff

Why we built it this way
Seat-based pricing punishes you for having a big funnel. Per-student pricing punishes you for keeping former clients on file. MAC only charges for clients who actually transacted with you that month. You keep every record, every lead, and every archived family in the system at no additional cost.
